Hello there stranger! Welcome to Roland’s Fortune Hunter Shop!
Seems to me you’ve done quite a distance around the islands today, did you enjoy the scenary? You’d probably do yourself some good resting at the inn just a few streets from my shop! They got a tavern to boot to wash away your worries too! So what can I do for you? You already got a map from me this mornin’, I do sell more than just maps, weapons and magic scrolls…
Ahh… You’re looking for a souvenir from Fortune Islands? That’s not a common request and it is the least I’d expect from a brave adventurer such as yourself, however I can’t say no when someone like you needs something from my shop! You see behind you? That old antique cabinet right there! If you open it I’ve stashed some rare gems in there that may be what you’re lookin’ for. It’s only for you pal. Go on, have a look! Come back to me when you’re satisfied with your pickin’s!

Question 01: I’d like to know if I could get a signed copy of this book entitled: GRAND HUNTER – Fortune Islands (Book 01). It seems to be a graphic novel that details the adventures of a rather enthusiastic fortune hunter and her cool friends! Neat.
Roland Says: Funny you should ask, friend. The artist named ‘Darkspeeds’ dropped by my shop the other week and told me that he’ll only be selling his ‘signed’ copies of the book at conventions. He told me that it is only fair to do that after selling the books at a higher price to fans he met when he attended a convention called ‘The Summer of Sonic’ in 2010.
Why not sell it at a premium price again to those who request it and were unable to attend the convention I asked him that mornin’. He is doing this to honour the fans who worked so hard to meet him and says that he’ll be reserving those books for future conventions, selfish as it sounds he also believes that this will encourage people to meet up with the artist in real life.
Darkspeeds wants to encourage real life interaction with the fans should he cause a scene in the comics market in the future. He also tells me that he is saving the books for the possibility of having them as exclusive prizes to be awarded to those who do well in contests that he sets up.
I hope that answers your question! To be honest if I was him I’d try and sell the signed books no matter where his fans live! I’ll charge them 200% from the base rate! Heh..heh… What a steal!

Question 02: I guess I’ll have to buy the book online! Where can I get it and how do I make payment?
Roland Says: Well to get a copy of the book online go directly to IndyPlanet.com and initiate the transaction. In order to make the purchase you’ll need to set up a PayPal account which is simple to do and is considered one of the safest ways to shop online.
Buying the books here is an excellent way to support the artist. He needs all the help he can get. Treat it as a donation or a way of saying “thanks, we want more!” to the artist who created this series! It’s not easy for him to travel around Dale and transcribe the adventures of like-minded fortune hunters like yourself! It costs a lot of neos (i.e. money) for sure!

Question 03: You seem like a nice guy Roland, how can I learn more about you and the people in Dale?
Roland Says: Well, I do my best to please my customers but not everyone in this world is nice. I can be quite the opposite should I find people stealing in my shop! I keep a close eye on strangers who browse through my shop and that includes you…!
Ahem, but yes if you’d like to know more about me or the people who roam around Fortune Island or even characters found outside the islands you can always go to the ‘Other Characters’ profile page. Have a nice day!

Got any inquiries or questions about how to make an order? Place them here.
I’ve tried a couple of times to order the comic, but when I arrive at the checkout point there’s always a warning notice that says, “FIELD STATE MISSING” even though I’ve filled it out in various ways.
How can I get around this if I live outside of the USA?
Heya Banter! = )
Did you try using the ‘Proceed Directly to Checkout’ option? If that doesn’t work try creating an ‘account‘. Someone also had this issue but when he created a new account it worked. Do let me know if it doesn’t work again and we’ll see if we can figure something out. You should be able to get a direct answer by sending an e-mail to IndyPlanet. This address will direct to their order inquiries booth. Hope it all works out! *thumbs up* (staff@indyplanet.com)
i wonder when volume 2 of the graphic novel will be coming out?
Not for quite a while mate.
