The story of GRAND HUNTER takes place in the Era of Fortune Hunting (also known as the Explorer’s Era).

The main star of the story is a treasure hunter enthusiast named Ruby ‘Locke’ Steadfast. She has a dream of being one kick-ass adventurer and to travel the world in search for great fortune. She makes it a goal also to become as good (or surpass) her mentor ‘Stream the Hawk’.

One day an unexpected and unfortunate incident happened in Fortune Islands that leaves Ruby in shatters, however she quickly regains hope after some reassurance from Salah, the vice captain to the Diamond Edge.

Two years later Ruby has managed to master a magic ability known as summoning. She makes a second attempt to retrieve a piece of treasure in the Tomb of St. Monblur and happens to find more than just treasure – she found someone who may help awaken her destiny.

Ruby returns to the capital city of Fortune Islands and reunites with her new mentor, Corny. She is also joined up by her two new friends, Ashworth and Fei, who initially claim to be fortune hunters like herself.
Ruby then takes on the COFT (Council of Fortune Hunting) for an assessment to gain entry to an exclusive program for fortune hunters around the world. However she has been ruthlessly tricked by the authorities of the program and was captured with a mysterious motive behind it. Ruby was eventually rescued by her friends and COFT on Fortune Islands was put out of commission.

Ashworth and Fei reveal themselves to be members of an unpopular mercenary’s squad, the GRAND GETZ, and tried to convince Ruby to join them in their quest to make their squad reputable to the world. Ruby accepted their request under the condition that Corny could join them as well. At the end of the day an agreement was settled between the two parties and Team ‘BAD-ASS’ was officially established.

Thus the story of GRAND HUNTER in the Explorer Era begins! What are the possibilities that we can get from a summoner of magic monsters , a pyro-mage, a kung fu genius and a self-proclaimed demon of the Netherworld? A crazy load of fun and incredible adventures that’s what!
